Advances and Innovations in Infectious Diseases

The IDSI will host their 16th Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) in the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin on the 15th and 16th of May 2025.   This year the focus will be on what is new in ID, we will be exploring how new developments are changing the clinical practice of Infectious Diseases professionals. It promises to be an inspiring and  exciting meeting and we hope you can be part of it.

Abstract Details

Use a short and concise title that indicates the content of the abstract. Capitalise the first letter of each word except prepositions, articles, and species names. Species names should be spelled out at first use.
Please note that for therapeutic agents, only generic names may be used (no trade names are permitted in abstract titles, or in the body of the abstract).
Authors’ names should be entered using initial(s) for the first and middle names followed by the full last name. All authors must be aware of and approve abstract submission in advance.

Abstract Body (Max 400 Words)

Italicise scientific names of organisms (example: Staphylococcus aureus).

Background

State the problem under investigation or a hypothesis, if appropriate.

Methods

Explain the methods used, including appropriate statistical analyses used.

Results

List the essential results obtained in summary form, with enough quantitative data to permit evaluation by reviewers. No figures or tables are allowed.

Conclusion

Summarise the findings. It is unacceptable to use statements such as “the results will be discussed”. No figures or tables are allowed.

Abstract Guidelines

Please submit on the website before 22.00 GMT on Tuesday, 18th March 2025. Receipt of abstract will be acknowledged by e-mail.

A scientific committee will review all abstracts. Successful applicants will be notified by e-mail.

Abstracts and details of researcher(s) and affiliations will be included in the meeting proceedings on the IDSI website (exactly as submitted on this application).

Winners of Best Oral Presentation and of Best Poster will be announced at Close of meeting on Friday 16th May.
